That’s So Blendtopia

Over a year ago, I told my Integrative Health Practitioner that there was no way I was going to give up my gluten free breakfast sandwiches and/or gluten free waffles for a morning smoothie. Jokes on me because I 100% gave up my heavy breakfast for a breakfast smoothie and am not only thriving, but very much enjoying those smoothies. I talk a lot about why I do this and the benefits of doing this in my Smoothie Time blog post.

Overall, I have the morning routine of having liquids before lunch. Why would I have this routine? Well, I am waking my body up and being kind to my digestive track because in case you did not know that my digestive track is typically all kinds of angry at me (#ThatsSoCeliac), so to help it not be angry I treat it nicely with my vitamins & supplements, water, tea and my smoothie, all before lunch.

If you read my Smoothie Time blog post you will see I provided some of my favorite recipes and some resources to help, but since I wrote that blog post my way of making smoothies has changed. I did a lot of research on different pre-made smoothies and was not finding something I completely loved or felt the urge to not only purchase, but continually utilize. However, one day I was walking through Whole Foods during a grocery store run and stumbled upon Blendtopia.

I brought home two of their SuperFood Smoothie Mixes from the store and started during research on the company. I instantly gravitated towards the company’s mission, to provide the highest quality, most nutrient-rich products that are convenient, taste amazing and work wonders for your body. Functional nutrition and convenience that makes life healthier and easier are at the heart of our brand. Plus, I had the opportunity to connect with the founder, Tiffany Taylor, who is a certified Raw Food and Holistic Nutritionist. We have gotten to connect over her mission for Blendtopia along with how she sources the ingredients for the smoothies, especially the wheatgrass powder*.

Blendtopia as of right now has 5 Smoothie Kits [in the order of my liking]:

  1. Energy

  2. Immunity

  3. Glow

  4. Detox

  5. Strength

So why do I like their smoothies? Well first off, they are gluten free, vegan, soy free, and dairy free. Secondly, they are not filled with a bunch of junk and unnecessary ingredients. Each smoothie kit contains organic frozen fruit and veggies as well as 1.5oz of frozen superfood chips. The superfood chips are comprised of our proprietary organic superfood blend & organic banana puree. The superfood smoothies are loaded with fiber, organic whole foods and superfoods to help keep me fueled & my digestive track happy.

Some of the superfoods that are utilized in the smoothies are cacao powder, cacao nibs, chia seeds, chlorella powder, coconut milk powder, flax seed powder, goji berry powder, hemp seeds, lucuma powder, maca powder, mesquite powder, sacha inchi powder and wheatgrass powder. We also use spices like cayenne, cinnamon and turmeric. And no you do not become a super hero from Marvel or DC Comics, but you can / do become your own super hero via fueling your body with these superfoods [too cheesy?]!

These smoothie kits not only allow for simplicity to be kept in my morning routine, but allow me to not get overwhelmed with all the decisions that come with making a well balanced morning smoothie. I can’t be the only who somewhat panics when you are standing in your kitchen trying to think of what should put in your smoothie to make sure it not only taste good, but is serving your body in the best way possible. Blendtopia’s smoothie kits, take away that panic about making a horrible smoothie.

I simply open my freezer, grab the smoothie kit of my liking for the day, and add a dairy-free milk & Equilibrium’s Daily Nutritional Support Powder [I utilize this under the guidance of my integrative health practitioner] to a blender and blend! All of this is done in less than 5 minutes.

Plus these smoothie kits are ones that you can get creative with if you so desire. You can make smoothie bowls and other superfood dishes!

*Tiffany was able to share with me that their supplier, NP Nutra, provides her with the allergen data sheet & ingredient spec sheet, as well as, communications from lab partners Merieux Nutriscience.

NP Nutra only harvests and processes the young leaves from the wheatgrass plant, ensuring no seeds are contaminating the process. They then follow up with certificates of analysis on EVERY SINGLE BATCH to confirm that no gluten is present. NP Nutra is one of the top commercial, organic superfood suppliers in the country so the founder of Blentopia can say with confidence that their products are safe to consume*
