That’s So Celiac’s Story
THAT’S SO CELIAC STARTED after myself was gas lit, unseen, unheard, and misunderstood by those I was going to for guidance, to connect the dots of my symptoms, to get answers from, and to figure out how to heal! To read more about my celiac story, click here. The name of That’s So Celiac came from me saying “#thatssoceliac” when I would be in a situation and my celiac disease would throw a hurdle in my way. I thought of this as the celiac disease version of “that’s so fetch” (Mean Girls, anyone?). This line added humor into my situation, but it also is what started to get me thinking about how many other people were in similar positions. How many other people are saying something similar to “#thatssoceliac”? How many other people are overwhelmed with learning how to live their best lives with an autoimmune disease and/or food restriction(s)? How many other people are looking to be understood? How many other people need someone who understands that they are going through?
THAT’S SO CELIAC IS a safe place for anyone to be seen, heard and understood. However if you haven’t noticed by the name of the business, it is specifically geared towards those living with celiac disease / living the gluten free life / living with an autoimmune disease.
This community was created from my own personal experiences. I turned my gloom into my bloom, so I could provide the light I so badly needed in my own gloom to others in their own gloom (this made sense in my head, so I hope it makes sense here…HA HA).
I wish when I was first diagnosed I saw someone thriving instead of simply surviving with the autoimmune disease. I wish I saw the ebbs and flows of what living with an autoimmune disease looked like. I wish I saw the different choices you have to support your body to the best of your abilities. I wish I had the community. So I created it.
THAT’S SO CELIAC TALKS about the following:
celiac disease, gluten-free living
holistic & integrative approach to your wellbeing
gluten-free recipes; you will find most of them are dairy-free as well. I tend to bake more plant-based.
how I’m more than my diagnosis (so sharing more than just celiac and gluten-free items)
services I offer through TSC, LLC
Those above areas are just high level pillars of what I focus on when thinking about what to create when it comes to content. There are so many different sub-topics that fall into each of those pillars!
THANK YOU for being here and for being a part of the TSC community. I am beyond appreciative and humbled to have your support.
